2. For some people who take Viagra, they won't be harmed with any side effects, but there will always be some people who do develop harmful side effects. A lot of this has to do with how a person metabolizes the drug.

Viagra can be used in treating enlarged and thickening hearts. This is done buy stopping the growth of muscle tissue and actually reversing the growth of the heart muscle. In the February issue of Nature Medicine, they authors showed that there was even damaged heart tissue repaired. Whether Viagra itself leads to the repairing of damaged heart muscle, or whether Viagra leads to the activation of certain molecules to repair damaged heart tissue will need further research.

The authors found that there is a relaxation response that is produced by an enzyme called PDE5AB that breaks down cyclic GMP. The cyclic GMP has a mechanism where it curbs stresses and overgrowth in the heart.

The research findings can be found in the February issue of Nature Medicine.

3. Thanks to those who inveted the drug. As for the side- effects more research is needed. Certainly its excellent news about the positive effect on the heart muscle. On the other hand, there should be more research carried out to prove these findings.I know first hand about the worries concerning the use of the drug. Honestly, I was more than happy to read this article and would like stay optimistic for the years to come, however, I am convinced they will find something that will prove the dangers involved, after all a drug is a drug. We also shouldn't forget about the addictive side. Men tend to believe that without using it they will fail completely, which is not always true. I know this not from reading articles , but from real life experience.
