A recent telephone survey of over 100,000 adults found that most Americans with high blood pressure aren't doing everything they can to control it. When asked if they were:- changing their eating habits
- cutting down on salt
- reducing use of alcohol
- exercising
- taking prescribed medication
The CDC estimates that nearly 70% of people with hypertension don't have their disease under good control. That's a huge number. If you're concerned about your blood pressure, make a plan with your doctor to improve it.
